Christina got a car!

Christina has been looking for a car for a little while, so yesterday she finally picked out a red, 2006 Nissan Altima!! It's really nice looking! It almost looks brand new! She is very excited that she will have a car at college.

Cosmic Bowling

Today while Christina and Mom were busy, Cameron, Conner, Dad and I went bowling from 1 to 3 at Via Linda Lanes. As you all probably know, 1 to 3 is cosmic bowling, so we had alot of fun! These are the scores:
First game(Which was our practice game!):
Dad-179
Cameron-105
Conner-103
Me-96(I was just warming up!)
Second game:
Dad-157
ME!!-105(I was still warming up!)
Cameron-78
Conner-68
Cameron was bowling weird... I don't know why... he said it was easier but look at his scores and I could tell it really wasn't! He usually beats me by alot!!

THE DOG BREED AND ANIMAL SPECIES OF THE WEEK

I have decided that since I have an interest in dogs and other animals, I will have a weekly animal species and dog breed and put up pictures and information/facts about them.

DOG BREED OF THE WEEK: Alaskan Husky

Alaskan Huskies are somewhat larger than Siberian Huskies, are leaner in built, and have greater endurance than their close relative. They are primarily bred as working dogs, and are excellent at sled racing. Since they are bred for endurance and speed, these dogs make wonderful jogging companions, and are not suitable for a small apartment. A puppy at heart, clever, sociable, loving, easy-going and docile, Alaskan Huskies are very intelligent and trainable, but they have a mind of their own and will only obey a command if they see a point. Alaskan Huiskies are not watchdogs for they bark little and love everyone. They are gentle with small children and are friendly even to strangers. These 40-60 lbs. dogs can be almost any color or pattern and can live up to 12-15 years.

ANIMAL SPECIES OF THE WEEK: Pourcipine
These heavyset animals weigh about 15 lbs, the size of a very large house cat. Some males have been known to get as heavy as 30 lbs. Their common name is from the French words porc espin meaning thorny hog, which refers to the animals famous quills. The average porcupine has about 30,000 quills, which it uses as a defensive weapon. The quills are comparable in flexibility and hardness to silvers or celluloid(a type of plastic, often used to make movie film)and so sharply pointed that they can penetrate any animals skin. In addition, the quill tips consist of tiny barbs, which make the quills very hard to remove. One false belief that has arisen about the porcupine, is there supposed ability to 'throw' their quills. The only way for someone or something to get impaled by the quills, would be to have physical contact with the porcupine. At birth, baby porcupines have soft quills which harden quickley when exposed to air. These small, quilled animals can live up to 10 years.

Our new pool!!!

This is our new pool which was finished at the end of June. We also got a little courtyard with quite a large fountain.

The first clump of rocks on the left is where the water slide is. It is partly hidden behind the umbrella. Between the second and third is where the jacuzzi is.

Here is a better picture of the water slide to the left. The other two clumps of rocks are the water falls. And the one rock, with the two little plants by its sides, is a "replacement" for a diving board.

This picture is from the opposite angle of the first picture. This is the jacuzzi with the two waterfalls as the group of rocks in the back and on the right.
This is our new water fountain. Its not quite finished still. There are going to be little flowers and plants in the planter around it.

I just got back from a two week vacation to Springfield, Illinois and St. Joseph, Michigan to visit grandparents and cousins. This is my cousins unnamed cat..well...they call him Kitty.

My 13 year old cousin Ryan and Conner with flowers in their blonde flowing hair....OK...not really...

The Whole Fam at a beautiful river(yes it's a river!) From back to front: Cam and Uncle Dan in back row, dad, me, Amanda, Christina and Aunt Joyce in middle row, and mom, Sarah Jane, Ryan, and Conner in front row

Here is Cam, Conner and my 19 year old cousin Chris, playing Playstation 2.

This is my 16 year old cousin, Sarah Jane on the beach. See the huge sand dunes behind her?

This is most of my family and my 21 year old cousin Amanda.

I got another picture of the HUGE sand dunes. We climbed all the way up it... in the middle of the afternoon...burning hot sand...and sun... no shade till we got to the top... AND NO WATER!! How stupid! You would think living in the desert I would know better...lol it was worth it to be able to run down the hill though RAELLY fast!!!

Here are my grandparents relaxing on a
pontoon boat ride.

Here is Christina and me on the boat. Yes, I have my life jacket on but when I saw nobody else did...I took it off tehehehe.
